Pack Activities

Pack 652 meets as a full pack once a month August through May.  During this period Dens (smaller groups broken down by grade level) also meet to work on various achievements.

Pack 652 typically holds Pack meetings on the fourth Wednesday of the month with Den meetings taking place on other Wednesdays (visit the Den pages for more detail).

Pack meetings include a flag ceremony by Scouts, awards and recognition, skits by one of the Dens, and a monthly activity.  Examples of monthly activities include a visit by a local policeman, yo-yo lessons or a Halloween party.

Dens are grade-level groups that meet twice monthly to work on the various age-appropriate required adventures as a group, along with some electives.  Cub Scouts are recognized for completing these adventures with being awarded beltloops and pins.

Required adventures fall into the categories of: Character & Leadership, Outdoors, Personal Fitness, Citizenship, Personal Safety, and Family & Reverence.  Electives vary by age group and include, but are not limited to: Camping, Swimming, Pet Care, Archery, Outdoor Cooking, Whittling, Engineering, Technology and Sportsmanship.

Pack events include our infamous races: Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Lego Derby.  We also recognize our Arrow of Light Scouts in the Spring as they cross over to our Troops 652B and 652G.  In May we celebrate all our Scouts and recognize them for completing their yearly requirements and rank up to the next level.

Twice yearly the Pack has a weekend family camping trip – once in the Fall and once in the Spring.  We also participate in the Brecksville or Broadview Heights Memorial Day Parade.  Caroling at a local senior living facility also takes place as one of our service projects.

During the summer months we continue with pack-wide events to keep our Scouts engaged and connected.
